Life and death couldn't get more complicated as Amelia is torn between her devotion to the ghostly Matthew and her growing attraction to Kip, who may not believe in ghosts but can't help believing in Amelia. When she's confronted with a rivalry between the living and the dead, which side of the great divide will Amelia choose?

This book is great! My friend's mom gave it to me and I wasn't able to put it down. This is a ghost story, first and foremost, but the lead character, Amelia, is also strong and cunning. I'm a seasoned teen horror reader, but there was one moment where I was so scared I actually had to put the book down.I found Amelia's character easy to relate to and appreciated what she was going through. I'm in my late twenties, but believe Amelia's story is a great fit for readers ranging from their teens all the way through to 90 (I'm giving a copy to my 91 year old grandmother as she expressed interest and will report back if it's suitable for 91+)
Warning: It does get scary at moments, but the author uses horror and gore so tastefully that it never feels forced, like some horror stories. We're simply tagging along on Amelia's adventure.
Lovers of Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland" or Clive Barker's "Abarat" will feel right at home with this story.

This book is great! My friend's mom gave it to me and I wasn't able to put it down. This is a ghost story, first and foremost, but the lead character, Amelia, is also strong and cunning.
